AEM regularly supports environmental due diligence for the sale, purchase, refinancing, and lease of properties. AEM staff is well versed in the requirements for Transaction Screening (ASTM E1528-14), Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs; ASTM E1527-13), and Phase II ESAs (ASTM E1903-11).

VAPOR INTRUSION

Volatile chemicals in soil and groundwater may migrate into buildings, creating a health concern. AEM is well versed in the assessment and abatement of vapor intrusion on and near hazardous waste sites. AEM uses approved models, soil vapor sampling, and/or indoor air sampling to assess vapor intrusion. If vapor intrusion is identified, AEM is capable of designing and implementing vapor mitigation controls.
